Is 3 days enough for a Tanzania safari?▾
Yes this itinerary is specifically designed for travellers with limited time. Visiting two of Tanzania's greatest destinations, you will see incredible wildlife including the Big Five. Most guests are genuinely amazed at how much wildlife they see in just 3 days.
What is the best time of year to visit Tarangire?▾
Tarangire is superb year-round, but the dry season from June to October is outstanding for elephant viewing. Herds of 200–300+ congregate along the Tarangire River when all other water sources dry up. January–March is also excellent for newborn animals and green landscape photography.
Can I see black rhino in the Ngorongoro Crater?▾
Yes the Ngorongoro Crater hosts one of the last stable wild black rhino populations in Africa. Rhino sightings are not guaranteed as they roam the full 264 km² caldera floor, but our guides know the rhino ranges well and sighting rates are high. A good sighting is the highlight of many guests' entire safari.

Is this safari suitable for children or elderly guests?▾
Yes all game viewing is from the comfortable Land Cruiser. No walking is required. The safari is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Children aged 5 and above are welcome on all game drives. We have hosted guests in their 80s on this exact itinerary.
Do I need travel insurance?▾
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all safaris in Tanzania. We recommend a policy that covers trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and emergency repatriation. Tanzania has excellent private hospitals in Arusha, but evacuation coverage is important for remote park areas.
